El funcionario instructor deberá perfeccionar las diligencias en el término de seis (6) meses, prorrogables por otros tres (3) meses, cuando se deban practicar pruebas fuera del lugar donde se adelanta la investigación, fueren tres (3) o más los inculpados o las necesidades del servicio así lo determinen.
