Espacios marítimos generados por los territorios insulares de Colombia en el mar caribe occidental. De conformidad con el artículo 101 de la Constitución Política, el derecho internacional consuetudinario, y las Leyes 10 de 1978 y 47 de 1993, son parte de Colombia el mar territorial, la zona contigua, la plataforma continental y la zona económica exclusiva que generen sus territorios insulares en el mar Caribe occidental.

La plataforma continental y la zona económica exclusiva generadas hacia el oriente por los territorios insulares de Colombia en el mar Caribe se superponen con la plataforma continental y la zona económica exclusiva generadas hacia el noroccidente por la costa Atlántica colombiana.
