Los cursos en la Escuela nacional de Minas se distribuirán en cinco años de estudio, así: geología Año primero Traducción de Inglés y Francés, Algebra, Geometría, Botánica, Zoología y Física experimental. Año segundo Química inorgánica, Trigonometría rectilínea y esférica, Geometría analítica y descriptiva, Legislación de Minas, Economía política, é Higiene. Año tercero Química orgánica, Cálculo infinitesimal y Mineralogía. Año cuarto Química analítica, Metalurgia (curso 1.°), Maquinaria, Agrimensura y Geodesia. Año quinto Física matemática, Explotación de minas é Hidráulica, Metalurgía (curso 2.°), Materiales de construcción y resistencia de materiales.
