Todos los trabajadores serán instruidos sobre la forma correcta de ascender por una escalera portátil, es decir, dándole la cara a los peldaños y sosteniéndose de las barandas laterales usando ambas manos. Los materiales que se necesiten cargar serán subidos o bajados por medio de cuerdas o de un equipo elevador polipasto y no se llevarán en las manos mientras se suba o baje por una escalera de mano.
