El artículo 15 del Código de Procedimiento Penal quedará así:

Querella y petición. Cuando la ley exija querella de parte o petición especial para iniciar la acción penal, bastará que quien tenga derecho a prestarla formule ante la autoridad competente la respectiva denuncia.

En los delitos de que trata el título noveno del Libro II del Código Penal el Instituto Colombiano de Bienestar Familiar tendrá también la calidad de querellante.
