La Medalla del Departamento Administrativo de Seguridad en el grado de "acción distinguida de valor se otorgará al funcionario del DAS que en cumplimiento de sus deberes oficiales, en desarrollo de misiones encomendadas por sus superiores o con el fin de prevenir o frustrar la comisión de delitos ejecute acto sobresaliente y distinguido de valor.
