Si los objetos abandonados o decomisados fueren fungibles o susceptibles por eso de desmejorarse o corromperse, corresponde al empleado de correos que ha de autorizar el remate, fijar la fecha y la hora en que éste ha de tener lugar, y se verificará, previo el correspondiente anuncio, en postura libre.
