Vigencia y derogatorias. El presente decreto rige a partir de la fecha de su publicación en el Diario Oficial. El Decreto número 1944 de 1996 mantendrá su vigencia durante el período de transición de veinticuatro (24) meses establecidos en el artículo 19 del presente acto administrativo. Vencido dicho término, el Decreto número 1944 de 1996 quedará derogado y las disposiciones de este decreto serán de obligatorio cumplimiento.
