Cuando el Superintendente Bancario tome posesión de los bienes, haberes y negocios de una Sociedad Administradora de Fondos de Pensiones, corresponderá al Fondo de Garantías de Instituciones Financieras iniciar la correspondiente liquidación de la entidad. Para tal efecto se seguirán las normas de liquidación aplicables a las demás instituciones financieras. Los créditos que llegaron a existir a favor del Fondo de Garantías de instituciones Financieras se pagarán por fuera de la masa de la liquidación, conforme al artículo 18 de la Ley 117 de 1985.
