Durante la actuación disciplinaria el investigado tiene derecho a la defensa material y a la designación de un abogado. Si el procesado solicita la designación de un defensor así deberá procederse. Cuando se juzgue como persona ausente deberá estar representado a través de apoderado judicial, si no lo hiciere se designará defensor de oficio, que podrá ser estudiante del Consultorio Jurídico de las universidades reconocidas legalmente.
