Los cursos de la Escuela nacional de minas se distribuirán en cinco años de estudios, así: Año primero – Traducción de Inglés y Francés, Algebra, Geometría, Botánica, Zoología y Física experimental. Año segundo – Química inorgánica, Trigonometría rectilínea y esférica, Geometría analítica y descriptiva, Legislación de minas, Economía Política e Higiene. Año tercero – Química orgánica, Cálculo infinitesimal, Mineralogía, Geología. Año cuarto – Química analítica, Metalurgia (curso 1°), Maquinaria, Agrimensura, Geodesia. Año quinto – Física matemática, Explotación de minas e Hidráulica, Metalurgia (curso 2°), Materiales de construcción y resistencia de materiales.
