A toda embarcación que sea matriculada se le debe expedir por la Capitanía de Puerto el correspondiente Certificado de Matricula que es el documento que acredita su nacionalidad colombiana, de conformidad con el artículo 2º del Decreto que se reglamenta. Este certificado se expedirá de acuerdo con el modelo aprobado por la Dirección Marítima Mercante.
