La autoridad administradora de las obras de adecuación de tierras, será la encargada de obtener las concesiones de aguas superficiales y subterráneas correspondientes para el aprovechamiento de éstas en beneficio colectivo o individual dentro de un área específica.

Corresponderá a la entidad administradora de cada distrito de riego la función de conceder el derecho de uso de aguas superficiales y subterráneas en el área de los distritos de adecuación de tierras.
