Ley 42 de 1985 · Por la cual se transforma el Instituto Nacional de Radio y Televisión -Inravisión- en una entidad asociativa de carácter especial y se dictan otras disposiciones.

El Consejo estará presidido por uno de sus miembros, elegido para un período de un año. Los miembros del Consejo tomarán posesión de sus cargos ante el Presidente del mismo, y aunque cumplen funciones públicas no adquirirán por este solo hecho el carácter de empleados públicos. Sin embargo, la Junta Administradora autorizará el pago de pasajes y viáticos para los miembros residentes fuera de Bogotá.

Parágrafo Transitorio

Los miembros del primer Consejo Nacional de Televisión tomarán posesión de su cargo ante el Presidente de la República.
