Se castigará con reclusión de dos a diez y ocho meses al que viole de cualquier modo los sellos destinados, conforme a la ley u orden de la autoridad, a conservar o asegurar la identidad de una cosa.

Si el culpado fuere el funcionario público que ordenó o ejecutó la colocación de los sellos o aquel a quien le incumbe custodiarlos o conservarlos, la reclusión que se imponga será de veinte a cuarenta meses.
