En ningún caso el precio del CBU podrá ser superior al precio FOB de exportación del vehículo ensamblado en el mercado de referencia. Si el vehículo no se produce en el exterior, el Ministerio de Desarrollo determinará la metodología para calcular el CBU, teniendo en cuenta las recomendaciones del Consejo Superior del Sector Automotriz
