La elección deberá repetirse cuando la votación total no represente el setenta por ciento de los empleados con derecho a voto y, en tal caso, bastará con el cincuenta por ciento de los votos de los electores. Si la segunda votación no alcanzare este porcentaje, el Director General de Aduanas designará al representante de los funcionarios aduaneros.
