Fondo Nacional Ambiental. El Fondo Nacional Ambiental -Fonam- creado por el artículo 87 de la Ley 99 de 1993, adscrito al Ministerio de Medio Ambiente, estará constituido por todos los demás fondos ambientales existentes a la fecha de expedición de presente Decreto, -con excepción del Fondo de Compensación Ambiental-, los cuales se fusionan y se transforman en subcuentas del Fonam.

Parágrafo

El producto de las multas que imponga el Ministerio del Medio Ambiente o la Unidad Administrativa Especial del Sistema de Parques Nacionales Naturales, ingresarán al Fondo Nacional Ambiental -Fonam- para financiar proyectos, planes y programas en materia de recursos naturales renovables y medio ambiente.
