Investigación administrativa . En los casos de muerte previstos en los artículos 165, 166 y 167 de este estatuto, las circunstancias de modo, tiempo y lugar en las cuales sucedieron los hechos se establecerán mediante la investigación administrativa ordenada por el superior respectivo. La Dirección General de la Policía queda facultada para modificar la calificación de las circunstancias en que ocurrieron los hechos, cuando éstas sean contrarias a las pruebas allegadas.
