Reconócese a la Asociación Colombiana de Ingenieros Electricistas, Mecánicos y profesiones afines, ACIEM, con personería jurídica otorgada por el Ministerio de Justicia mediante Resolución número 3197 de 1957, como Cuerpo Técnico Consultivo del Gobierno Nacional, para las cuestiones y problemas relacionados con cualquiera de las ramas de las Ingenierías Eléctrica, Mecánica y profesiones afines, y como Cuerpo Consultivo en las cuestiones de carácter laboral relacionadas con dichas profesiones. Su concepto no tendrá carácter obligatorio.
