Son funciones generales de los directores, subdirectores, subsecretarios y jefes de oficina, las siguientes

Elaborar los informes sobre actividades cumplidas por la respectiva dependencia, para las memorias del Ministro.

Calificar el personal de la Carrera Diplomática y Consular y de la Carrera Administrativa que labore bajo la respectiva dependencia.

Las demás funciones específicas que les señale el Ministro, relacionadas con los respectivos cargos.
