El sueldo de actividad se dividirá en sueldo de presente y sueldo de ausente. El sueldo de presente difiere según las circunstancias siguientes: 1.ª En guarnición, en tiempo de paz; 2 ª En marcha, en tiempo de guerra; 3 ª En comisión ; y 4.ª En uso de Letras de Cuartel ó de licencia indefinida, según el caso de retiro ó de invalidez. El sueldo de ausente se modifica así : 1.° Por licencia temporal ; 2.° Por licencia indefinida ; 3.° Por enfermedad ; 4.° Por convalescencia ; 5.° Por prisión ; y 6.° Por cautividad.
