Vencido el término para presentar descargos, el superior competente para fallar tendrá hasta cinco (5) días para decretar las pruebas pedidas y las que de oficio considere conducentes, y hasta treinta (30) días para su práctica por sí o por intermedio del funcionario de instrucción, pero si fueren más de tres (3) los disciplinados, el término se ampliará hasta sesenta (60) días.
