Reorganización de las gerencias seccionales . Con el propósito de desarrollar cabalmente la función de vigilancia de la gestión fiscal asignada, el Auditor General de la República, previo estudio y justificación, podrá fusionar, crear, suprimir, modificar la conformación de las gerencias seccionales y variar sus sedes, de acuerdo con las necesidades del servicio, costo de la gestión, importancia de los organismos vigilados, disponibilidad presupuestal, de instalaciones físicas, de personal y de equipo con que se cuente.
