El Director del Establecimiento dará cuenta a la Dirección General de Prisiones del número y nombre de los condenados que poseen una cultura sobresaliente, para que señale la manera más apropiada para utilizar sus conocimientos. Los condenados que revelen excepcionales condiciones artísticas, o científicas, pueden dedicarse a los estudios o trabajos de su arte o ciencia, siempre a que, solicitud del Director, lo permita la Dirección General de Prisiones y que no se perturbe la disciplina interna.
