En el desempeño de sus funciones, el perito debe examinar la realidad de los hechos o cosas sobre los cuales deba emitir concepto, el estado físico y psíquico de las personas, hacer las mensuras y las apreciaciones necesarias y presentar fundadamente su dictamen por escrito. Cuando haya más de un perito, todos juntos practicarán las diligencias y harán los estudios e investigaciones conducentes para emitir el dictamen, y los que estén conformes lo extenderán en una sola declaración firmada por todos. Los que no estuvieren conformes extenderán su dictamen por separado.
