Procesos . Los procesos básicos de la vigilancia en salud pública incluyen la recolección y organización sistemática de datos, el análisis e interpretación, la difusión de la información y su utilización en la orientación de intervenciones en salud pública. En todo caso, las autoridades sanitarias deberán velar por el mejoramiento continuo de la oportunidad y calidad de los procesos de información y la profundidad del análisis tanto de las problemáticas como de las alternativas de solución.
