Los Oficiales que el Gobierno llame a la Reserva sólo podrán ser ascendidos hasta el grado de Capitán de Corbeta, de conformidad con lo establecido en los capítulos 1, II y III de esta Ley, pero podrán ascender hasta los más altos puestos, si se distinguen en el servicio en tiempo de guerra.

Parágrafo

La Dirección General de Marina fijará los requisitos para entrar a la Reserva Naval, teniendo en cuenta el tiempo de servicio en el mar, la preparación general y el límite de edad, como también las materias en las cuales debe presentar examen los aspirantes.
