La presente ley tiene por objeto establecer las reglas aplicables para el uso del llamamiento en garantía en los procesos de responsabilidad en los que la Superintendencia de Industria y Comercio es competente en materia de protección del consumidor, con el fin de fortalecer la protección al consumidor y unificar criterios para la aplicación de esta herramienta procesal.
