Los gastos que ocasione la administración pública en las islas serán cubiertos con el producto de las rentas de la Intendencia; si este no alcanzare, se cubrirá la diferencia con los fondos comunes del Tesoro Nacional.

Parágrafo

Todo exceso de las rentas sobre los gastos de la intendencia se invertirá precisamente en obras públicas de las islas. Dichas obras deben ser determinadas previamente por la Junta de que trata el parágrafo del Artículo 6o.
