Como un homenaje al ilustre medico doctor Jorge Martínez Santamaría, muerto prematuramente para la ciencia médica del país, en uno de los claustros de la Escuela de Medicina se colocara una placa de mármol, con esta inscripción:

"El Congreso De 1922 al Ilustre medico doctor Jorge Martínez Santamaría ".
