Con el giro de los recursos a las entidades de previsión que administren cesantías o a los fondos de cesantías públicos o privados legalmente constituidos, la Nación cumple sus obligaciones definidas en el artículo 33 de la Ley 60 de 1993 y los artículos 17 y 19 del Decreto 530 de 1994, por concepto de concurrencia en el pasivo de cesantías. Para el giro de los recursos a las cajas de previsión o fondos del sector público que administren cesantías se dará aplicación al Decreto 1796 de 1995.
