º Obligación de Servicio. Caución. Lo universitarios, profesionales y sacerdotes que se escalafonen como Oficiales de los Servicios, tendrán la obligación de servir a la Policía Nacional por un periodo no inferior a dos años, contados a partir de la fecha de su escalafonamiento. Si incumplieren esta obligación y fueren retirados del servicio, pagarán a la Nación Ministerio de Defensa una suma igual a un sueldo básico mensual por cada vez mes que hubiere dejado de servir, suma que será descontable de las prestaciones sociales que le correspondan o exigible por la vía coactiva según lo resuelva la policía.
