° Los Notarios y Registradores, tanto principales como suplentes, de capitales de Departamento y de Distrito Judicial, serán nombrados por el Presidente de la República para períodos de cinco (5) años que comenzarán el 1° de enero de 1955. Los demás Notarios y Registradores nombrados para los mismos períodos por los Gobernadores Intendentes o Comisarios. El suplente reemplaza al principal en los casos de falta absoluta o temporal o de impedimento. Los empleados subalternos son de libre nombramiento y remoción de los Notarios y Registradores.
