En los sitios en donde se realicen operaciones de soldadura y corte, los pisos serán de materiales no inflamables, bien iluminados y ventilados, y se deberá evitar la presencia de polvos, gases o vapores inflamables o tóxicos. Igualmente se colocarán mamparas o biombos de color oscuro para evitar que los trabajadores próximos a las labores de soldadura queden expuestos a los rayos lumínicos.
