Defensorías de Familia . De conformidad con lo establecido en el artículo 79 de la Ley 1098 de 2006, las Defensorías de Familia son dependencias del Instituto Colombiano de Bienestar Familiar de naturaleza multidisciplinaria, encargadas de prevenir, garantizar y restablecer los derechos de los niños, niñas y adolescentes.

Parágrafo

La Dirección General del Instituto Colombiano de Bienestar Familiar denominará y distribuirá las Defensorías de Familiar mediante resolución interna y conforme a las necesidades del servicio.
