Corresponde al Ministro de Ecuación Nacional resolver acerca de las solicitudes de reconocimiento civil de las instituciones de educación superior creadas por la iglesia Católica, previa demostración de su existencia canónica. Para este efecto, se adjuntará a la solicitud, de conformidad con el Concordato celebrado con la Santa Sede, copia autentica de la disposición eclesiástica por la cual se creó la institución y una certificación expedida por autoridad canónica competente en que conste la conformidad de la institución creada con la legislación canónica. La solicitud se tomará al Ministerio de Educación Nacional por conducto del ICFES.
