Para efectos del giro de la participación ordenada en el artículo 357 de la Constitución, cuando en una vigencia fiscal los ingresos corrientes efectivos sean superiores a los estimados en el presupuesto, se procederá a efectuar el reaforo de dichos ingresos en la vigencia fiscal en que se produzca el mayor ingreso o en la subsiguiente; en cualquiera de los dos eventos, con sujeción a las fechas establecidas en el artículo 24 de la Ley 60 de 1993.
