En cada municipio habrá un (1) Registrador Municipal del Estado Civil, quien tendrá la responsabilidad y vigilancia de la organización electoral, lo mismo que del funcionamiento de las dependencias de la Registraduría Municipal.

Parágrafo

; En las ciudades que tengan más de cien mil (100.000) cédulas vigentes, habrá dos (2) Registradores Municipales de distinta filiación política.
