En la activación y desarrollo del mecanismo de búsqueda urgente se aplicarán las reglas relativas a la protección de víctimas y testigos, de acuerdo con lo que establece el Código de Procedimiento Penal, el Estatuto Orgánico de la Fiscalía y las demás normas que lo desarrollen, previa solicitud del funcionario judicial a la Fiscalía General de la Nación.
