º El Consejo Universitario que se crea por el presente Decreto cumplirá las funciones que las leyes, decretos, acuerdos y demás disposiciones vigentes señalan al Consejo Superior Universitario y mientras aquél no se integre y empiece a actuar, el Rector de la Universidad Nacional continuará, investido de las facultades especiales que le confiere el Decreto 1259 de 1971.
