El nombre de cada buque y el del puerto a que pertenezca se inscribirán en la popa con letras de diez y seis centímetros de largo, por lo menos, bien marcadas y visibles. El dueño o dueños de un buque que no cumplan esta disposición, pagarán cincuenta pesos de multa, la cual hará efectiva el funcionario de registro del puerto a que corresponda el buque.
