La estancia en instituciones siquiátricas y en unidades de salud mental, de cualquier tipo y nivel, comprende además de los servicios básicos, los de electroterapia, terapia ocupacional, recreativa y de grupo. La permanencia del paciente en estas instituciones no podrá ser superior a ciento cincuenta días, superado este término, la prórroga estará sujeta a la valoración de la Junta Médico Quirúrgica del ISS.
