Procedimiento para la selección de los condecorados. Los candidatos a la Medalla Cívica “Camilo Torres” serán seleccionados por el Ministerio de Educación Nacional, de candidatos que le presenten los gobernadores y alcaldes distritales o que él mismo considere, previa consulta con la JUNE.

(Decreto 1242 de 1997, artículo 8°).
