Los Registradores Municipales o sus Delegados en los leprocomios deberán custodiar en sus oficinas las papeletas de votación y demás documentos usados en las elecciones, durante un período prudencial, que determinará el Registrador Nacional del Estado Civil. No será necesario que tales documentos se pongan de presente a los escrutadores ni que se envíen a otras localidades para los fines del escrutinio.
