El registro deberá hacerse dentro de cuatro meses a contar desde el día en que terminó la impresión de la obra o fue publicada.
Antes de expirar el citado término de cuatro meses el autor o sus causahabientes disfrutarán del derecho de propiedad intelectual, lo mismo que si la obra estuviera registrada.
