La Fiscalía General de la Nación ejercerá las funciones de investigación y acusación señaladas en la Constitución Política y en las normas con fuerza de ley. En el cumplimiento de las funciones jurisdiccionales previstas en ella, son aplicables a la Fiscalía los principios de la administración de justicia de que trata la Constitución Política, los tratados internacionales vigentes ratificados por Colombia, esta Ley estatutaria y las demás normas con fuerza de ley.
