El personal del ramo de guerra que tenga derecho a pasaportes, deberá hacer la solicitud de reconocimiento y pago de los mismos, inclusive los pasajes para la familia si es el caso, en la época cuando se efectué el viaje que causa el pasaporte. Después de seis meses de ocurrido el viaje, se pierde el derecho para solicitar el precitado reconocimiento.
