Para efectos de lo dispuesto en el presente decreto, la educación de adultos es el conjunto de procesos y de acciones formativas organizadas para atender de manera particular las necesidades y potencialidades de las personas que por diversas circunstancias no cursaron niveles grados de servicio público educativo, durante las edades aceptadas regularmente para cursarlos o de aquellas personas que deseen mejorar sus aptitudes, enriquecer sus conocimientos y mejorar sus competencias técnicas y profesionales.
