Cuando el que se crea con derecho a una prestación de las que trata el presente Decreto, abandone su gestión, la Caja decretará su caducidad, previo informe del Secretario o del Sustanciador. Se entiende que ha habido abandono cuando el interesado no ha hecho gestión alguna durante un año, que se cuenta desde la fecha de la última actuación. El término de prescripción de la acción no se estima interrumpido con la solicitud inicial.
